Ceylon Getaways has been putting together private trips across Sri Lanka since 2014. Everything on this site is planned from here, driven by our own chauffeur guides, and sold without a booking engine in the middle of it.
What we actually do
We plan and run private trips. One vehicle, one driver guide, your own dates. There is no coach, no group of strangers and no fixed departure. A trip is drafted by a person who has driven the roads in it, then changed until it is the trip you wanted rather than the one that was easiest to write.
We hold 9 chauffeur guides on the roster. That is a small number on purpose. It is the number we can keep working through a full season rather than hiring in strangers for the peak weeks, and it means the person who meets you at the airport is somebody we know.
What we will not do
No jeep with more than four people in it, and no driver who crowds a leopard, which is the single most common thing that ruins a game drive in Yala for everybody in the park.
We will not sell you a coast in the wrong month. If your dates put the south under the southwest monsoon, we will move the coast rather than the dates and say why.
What the licence means
Licence SLTDA/XX/0000 from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, and company PV 00000000. Both are worth checking. An unlicensed operator here is not a cheaper version of a licensed one, it is a different thing entirely, and the number is public.
Straight answer
These photographs are not ours
Every photograph on this site is licensed stock. None of it shows our guides, our vehicles or our guests. We picked frames that can be proved to be Sri Lanka rather than a palm-fringed bay that could be anywhere, because a Sri Lanka specialist whose pictures could be Thailand is telling you something.
One frame fails our own rule. The leopard on the destinations page cannot be proved to have been taken here rather than in India or Africa. It is listed as a placeholder in the build, and it goes as soon as one of our guides gets a better one in Yala.

Two lines is enough to start. Dates and roughly how long, and we will send a day by day plan within two working days with the reasoning behind it.
